Giant's Causeway:These mounds of Giant's Causeway basalt columns hug the coast of Northern Ireland. The columns have withstood the relentless crushing waves of the Northern Channel for 60 million years, when they were formed as a result of lava cooling and cracking into hexagonal basalt columns.
