Sand Snake: Jeff Sullivan of Sacramento, California submitted this gorgeous photograph of the Eureka Dunes in Death Valley National Park, California. Interestingly, the sand of these dunes can produce a booming sound as it slips around in the wind, which is why these dunes are also called the Singing Dunes.
