Here's Lookin' Atcha, Cutie: Anne M. Fearon Wood took this picture of a snaggly-toothed American Alligator in Florida's Everglades National Park. Common in the Everglades National Park, American Alligators can be found from North Carolina to Texas! Interestingly, these alligators provide a unique service to other marsh inhabitants. They uproot vegetation using their mouth, claws, and powerful tails, clearing a depression that will hold water during the dry season, providing a water source for all sorts of water loving fish, insects, and other creatures.

I was only three feet away when I took this shot. Alligators are usually very docile while basking in the hot sun....usually.....

It looks like he only has one eye. Not only does he need a dentist, he needs an optometrist.

I'm sure his Mom thinks he is beautiful. He doesn't really look scary. Nice detail of all the 'gator's bumps and warts and scales...you've captured a personality!!!
