Blue Moon

Blue Moon: "When a second full moon appears within a one-month period, it is called a blue moon. This happens once every two-plus years, but it falls on New Year’s Eve only once in nineteen years. It happened on Dec. 31, 2009. A thick fog diffused the moon's light, raindrops spattered the lens, and the camera’s flash fired, giving a ghostly appearance to the leafless trees."
