You are watching Pian Grande di Castelluccio di Norcia, the basis of a volcanis lake that disappeared millions of years ago and is now a very fertile valley. The picture is taken from the road edge along the Piano. ***Mythili e Ali - it is the sunrise actually, but you can see more less the same effect at sunset. ***Ann - yes they hay bales Thanks to everybody for being interested in this place and thanks to my wife for translating :-)
